It is a fact that people who live in quality environments live longer.

Flowers and trees improve air quality and reduce stress levels. As well as looking and smelling nice, street flowers bring confidence to an area, attracting investment and increasing profile.

They also say to the world "we are proud to live and work here".

In recent years the Town Centre Action Group has worked with partners to provide hanging baskets along Station Road, from the corner of Yiewsley Library through West Drayton to the junction of Swan Road. The flowers were a great success, and many locals and visitors commented on how the area was starting to look nice.

This year with the help of the UB7 Project Delivery Group we want to provide the same flowers, but we want to extend the scheme further. We aim to include more streets, and to add railing mounted tubs to our key areas.

We are looking for sponsors to help realise the project for 2009, and welcome involvement from across the community for wider ideas. Our proposal documentation will soon be uploaded.
