Much as we love Yiewsley and West Drayton the one thing that people generally recognise is lacking is a pub that is welcoming to all, serves decent food.

We have recently undertaken a survey at ub7.org. about the state of our pubs and we agree with the majority of respondents.

Where, in Yiewsley and West Drayton, is:

- A pub where a woman could go and read a newspaper.

- A pub with leather armchairs that sells posh crisps.

- A pub that has a decent range of wines.

- A pub with decent real ales.

- Where kids could sit in the beer garden free from swearing lunatics.

We dont want every pub to be like this. But there should be one pub, surely, on the High Street, which will do this, without needing to go miles.
