West Drayton station

making yiewsley and west drayton the best place in london to live and work

West Drayton Station is at the heart of our community - the station, probably more than any other place in the area is where we come together as a group of people. Many travel to and from work. Or go into London for a day of shopping or theatre or a night of clubbing.

Its also an important station for people using the airport.

But our station, despite being the first stop on Brunel's London to Bristol line, has been for many years neglected.

We think we deserve better than that. This is our plan, and we want everyone in the area to let us know if its a good plan ,or if we should change it. We want ideas.

Phase One: Spring 2012

We want to make the underpass corridor, stairwells, entrances and ticket halls nicer. Rome wasnt built in a day, so this is just a first step..

Corridor

The History Society are going to put in place a permanent display (which will be updated from time to time) in the main corridor. The display will show off some of our well known (and not so well known) local places - and tell some of our stories.

Platforms

The station platforms at the moment are not great. So the Yiewsley and West Drayton Community Involvement Group are going to bring a touch of colour by planting. First Great

Ouitside the station

Station Approach was done up a few years ago and . But it needs some extra TLC. So the Yiewsley and WestDrayton Guerilla Gardeners are going to sort out the roundabout.
