One area that the town centre action group has long idenified as needing attention has been the West Drayton rail bridge. The rail bridge is right at the centre of Yiewsley and West Drayton, being both the link between the two areas, and an important feature of the area in its own right.
We asked the Council to consider whether we could turn this unmarkable and rather badly maintained bridge into an iconic feature that would attract people to the area and make people proud of where they live. The Council have been very helpful, as the bridge belongs to Network Rail who have been unable to agree any works to date.
The Town Centre Action Group are really interested to hear your views on this proposal, and you can leave your comments in the box at the bottom of the page. Hillingdon Council, who have offered to undertake these works at their own cost, have asked to see views from the community.

Anything to brighten up the High Street is definitely a plus. It is all starting to look grey and depressing and full of building sites!
What a great improvement this would be, any work to improve our high street would be greatly appreciated by many people who are depressed at the sight of yet another fast food outlet or plastic box selling shop opening. The lighting looks fab and the introduction of the colourful mosaic is lovely.
Looks really great and would be well supported by the community
Hi read about your site in gazzette its about time we had people intrested in this area, I have lived here for nearly all my life (47) years and would love the place to get a facelift before we turn into one big fast food outlet/off licence we deserve better Amanda
